Dinky Toys 505 1st type Foden Chain Wagon Very Near Mint/Boxed.

This model was only ever produced for 9 months from January 1952 & hence has held the place as one of the rarest Dinky commercials produced. A real iconic Dinky!

What a wonderful example this 1st type 505 is coming in rich maroon with maroon ridged hubs. Large painted tow hook, the tyres are showing their age with an odd flat spot & crack, nice straight chain posts with dimpled bosses, correct tank slots to casting, nice clean chain, superb silver trim & bright axles which are correctly secured with clips. The '20' sticker has virtually come off over it's lifetime with only a small portion remaining. With only a few little dots/rubs here & there besides.

The correctly 'M' stamped blue box with wrap round orange/white label is in beautiful condition, red 'New Jersey' label to side, strongly coloured, smooth feel, & most certainly no repairs/splits or punctures. Small scuff to label face, '300' to the end & only some very minor handling wear besides.
