Dinky Toys 148 Ford Fairlane 'South African' Very Near Mint/Boxed

This 'South African' Fairlane comes in bright blue. White interior, excellent silver trim, well shaped white treaded tyres, gleaming spun hubs, fresh mirror like baseplate, South African rivets, bright clear glazing, lovely firm suspension & not a hint of rust to the axles. Very difficult to fault but just a couple of dots away from mint for this very scarce model. 

The Afrikaans 'Arthur E. Harris' box is in excellent shape. Only some only light edge/surface wear to note

A quite remarkable model and so often lacking from the some of the worlds biggest collections. A very rare opportunity to own such an wonderful piece of Dinky history.
