Dinky toys 135 Triumph 2000 Promotional Virtually Mint/Boxed

In December 1963 the Dinky Triumph 2000 was launched with two colour variations released for general sale. There were also in the region of 18 promotional colours done for Standard Triumph main dealers and to be given to buyers of a new Triumph 2000. Only a few of these promotional chrome plated versions were produced & the school of thought is they were intended for the Executives of Standard Triumph as a special commission. There are also several other known commissioned chromed variations including the 925 Leyland Dump Truck, 39e Chrysler Royal Sedan & 965 Euclid Tipper.

This particular fine example has gleaming chrome bodywork and with the bright red interior really makes it look the part. The treaded 'M' tyres are sat on bright spun hubs, intact suspension all round, light grey baseplate, two original bags, bright clear glazing, operational bonnet & boot. Slight speckle to the boot & just the most faint rub or two is all to note.

The pale yellow picture box is in excellent shape, still rich in colour & retaining a lovely fresh feel with resistant flaps, serrated tab detached & a nick to a hinge, an odd crease & only the lightest storage wear.
