Charben's Mechanical Farm Tractor Near Mint/Boxed (Incredibly rare blue version March 1951)

As of 1st March 1951 to May 1952 there was a ban on using zinc, brass and copper in toy production, due to the Korean war.  In March 1951, Charben's advertised a clockwork tractor and was only available "while supplies last".  Only a small number of these were produced before the metal ban, which makes the clockwork tractor's incredibly rare indeed.

Model:

This incredibly Charben's tractor comes in the very rare blue & silver with with green wheel centres. Mechanical motor seems to be operational but due to the fragile nature of the key & model I won't wind it up. Brown driver, air cleaner present, trailer hitch intact, steering wheel attached. Shows signs of light fatigue but to be expected with this model.

Box:

The green box is in decent order with no repairs & over labelled is bright with clear script. Some signs of deterioration to the base but it's still intact & present.
